World Cup Soccer 5U-6U

Overview:

World Cup is a soccer program for players 5U/6U players, where fundamental skills of soccer will be taught in a friendly, noncompetitive atmosphere. Teams will meet twice a week; once during the week for practice and once on Saturdays for games. In the practice sessions during the week, the players will learn the basic skills of soccer, such as shooting, dribbling and passing.  The practice and game sessions are run with volunteer coaches who instruct the players and referee the games.



Program Specifics:

All practices are held at Grimes Bridge Soccer Field (West side) and East Roswell Park (East side) and games are played at Groveway Lower Soccer Fields (West side) or East Roswell Park (East side). Practices will be held Tuesday & Thursday afternoons (West side) or Wednesday afternoons (East side), with games played Saturday mornings or afternoons. 


There are two seasons: Fall (September and October) and Spring (March and April).


The fee for the program is paid through the City of Roswell and covers all playing costs. Players receive a uniform, soccer ball, and participation award.

What Equipment is Needed?

Players should bring a water bottle to all practices and games and must wear shin guards with soccer cleats or sneakers.
