About Jr. Academy
Program Overview
The Jr. Academy is a developmental training program for Recreational level soccer players aged 6-9. This program is designed to provide the participants with an introduction to professional training and reinforce the basic soccer concepts that promote player development for this age group. This program is offered in addition to their recreation teams and does not interfere with participation on their current team. Since these aged players only practice once a week it provides them with another opportunity to train. Any player within the age range that participates in our recreational program is invited to participate.
Program Details
The Jr. Academy program meets 1 weekday afternoon during the Fall and Spring seasons. The Fall season is September through October and the Spring is March through the beginning of May.
This Spring we will offer 2 sessions per week and it will begin the week of March 10th and will run for 8 weeks. You have the option of signing up for the sessions on Tuesdays (5:30-6:30pm @ Woodstock Soccer Fields) or on Wednesdays (4:30-5:30pm @ Waller Upper Soccer Field).
The fee for the program is paid to the Roswell Soccer Club and is $75 if you pre-register on or before March 5th for the 8 week program. If you register after March 5th, the fee is $85.
Coaches
The Jr. Academy Program will be directed by Grant Kevins. Grant has his "B" License and is well aware of the importance of developing youth in the effort of growing a club. Grant believes the Jr. Academy is designed to narrow the gap between the recreational program and the academy program. All coaches within this program will have their coaching license and will have played soccer at a high level.
